Terms of Use

This is a draft agreement for raceIQ, written to match how the product actually works. It is not legal advice, and a lawyer should review it before it is relied on for real users.
What raceIQ is
raceIQ ranks upcoming races by where your entered target pace would likely place you, using historical results from past editions of those races. Placement estimates are statistical projections built from publicly available past results and the pace you tell us you can run. They are not guarantees, predictions certified by any race organizer, or a substitute for your own judgment about entering a race.
Your account
You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use raceIQ.
Your data
Information you enter — your target paces, saved places, profile details — remains yours. If you connect Strava, the run data we import is used to estimate your pace and match you to races you've run; see our Privacy Policy for details on what's collected and how to remove it. You can disconnect Strava or delete your account at any time.
Race and results data
Race listings, past results, and field-strength scores shown in raceIQ are drawn from public data published by third-party race registration and timing sites. We do our best to keep this data accurate and up to date, but we don't control the source sites and can't guarantee completeness, accuracy, or that a race listed will occur as described. Always confirm race details, entry requirements, and deadlines directly with the race organizer before registering.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use raceIQ to harass, impersonate, or misrepresent yourself to others;
- scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from raceIQ for use outside the product;
- attempt to access another user's account or interfere with the service's normal operation; or
- use raceIQ in any way that violates applicable law.
No liability for race outcomes
raceIQ estimates where you might place; it does not organize, sanction, time, or have any affiliation with the races it lists unless stated otherwise. We are not responsible for anything that happens at a race, including injury, cancellation, or a result that differs from our estimate.
Service availability
raceIQ is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we're not liable for any resulting loss.
Termination
You may stop using raceIQ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the date above and, where required, notify you directly. Continued use of raceIQ after a change means you accept the updated terms.
